Land, Ho! For TPB

BARCODE WAS INVENTED!

BARCODE WAS INVENTED!

Hey! It’s been ages since I last made a proper blog post (: So I decided to create a little “share” and random interest article today. Well before going into all this, I just got a letter from Google Adsense. Its nothing much or anything concerning, but its just “Woah!” getting a letter from Google. Especially since they randomly shoved their trademarked logo all over the place.

Important Account Information Enclosed

Wow, thats a big give away to place on the front of a letter don’t you think?
This sounds totally nerdy and geeky, but I find it cool :P Besides this, I’m still trying to hunt for my Wave invitation somewhere… (don’t ask, I used multiple e-mail accounts).

The 'Patrick' Bay

The 'Patrick' Bay

Back To Biz. If you haven’t noticed yet, Google homepage had a facelift with a new barcode logo representing the “Invention of the barcode”. Somehow this article seems a bit pro-Google, but going on… its always fascinating seeing Google homepage logo change according to seasonal events :P You should check out some of their videos in YouTube when you get a chance (E.g. Working Life In Google xD). I would presume that barcode logo stands for GOOGLE when parsed.

In other news, its also amusing seeing The Pirate Bay logo change once in a while to random Online Memes, Historical Events,

News, etc. Its currently standing strong showing “The Patrick Bay” marking a tribute to reputable Patrick Swayze. The image itself holds its own significance and we’re all glad TPB is once again, still alive.

After being chased by various anti-piracy groups, The Pirate Bay returned a few hours ago. “Nobody puts The Pirate Bay in a corner,” they say on their frontpage , referencing Patrick Swayze’s famous line in Dirty Dancing. Not in a corner, no, but what about a bunker?

The Pirate Bay Additional Stuff

The Pirate Bay Additional Stuff

The funny thing about all this is that, TPB is actually being hosted in a nuclear bunker at the moment, in which you can read more from the link above to TorrentFreak.com. Just to stirl up a bit of interest and perhaps make you go “WOW I DIDN’T KNOW THAT”, TPB also offer other services/interests besides its amazing Public Torrent Tracking service. These services/affiliates are placed in the most obvious place that most user(s) do not bother taking a look at… the footer.

Now, let’s go over them, one by one. For those that are completely paranoid in clicking such links in fear of getting “RICK ROLL’D” or perhaps raped by random “Gay Porn (Meatspinning) or GNAA”, then perhaps this post should shed some light. Clearly, serving hundreds of visitors everyday, this would not be logical. The link names themselves are quite self-explanatory, Login, Register.

TPB DOODLES.

TPB DOODLES.

Now, turn your attention to “Legal Threats“. If your clearly opting for some humour at any point of the day, have a browse through some of these e-mails, letters and legal threats made to TPB that has been posted. Funny thing about all this is that its being displayed and nothing is being done against it, so well done TPB :)

Now we move to “Blogs” which is clearly… blogs. This is another interesting link you can visit to find out whats happening behind the scenes, etc.

Another interesting link to check out besides that, is their Doodles. This is basically a place for them to place or the previous logo changes upon special events. Great for amusement and memory :)

The rest are pretty basic and may be of interest to you, including their Forums. They have quite a fine community, so its perhaps worth a look at. One of the last few services that catches most of my activity on is Slopsbox, BayImg and PasteBay.

Instead of me elaborating on what Slopsbox is, just take a look at their description about it.

What is Slopsbox™ and why do you need it?

Slopsbox is your temporary mailbox, the e-mail address you use to register for random services. It’s a long-finger up the butt to spammers who wants your real e-mail. Slopsbox™ is the inbox you don’t care about. But Slopsbox™ cares about you, your privacy and we want your spam, because we think it’s tasty!

Slopsbox™ is great when you need to retrieve the information from an e-mail but don’t want to reveal your identity.

Fuck you Sir Spamalot!

SlopsboxYes, as it states, its just a temporary mailbox storage for you to check mail (not send). Personally I find it great for “fake registering” accounts, which I “do not” recommend :P The main intentions is obviously to fight spam (: so don’t listen to me :D :D :D . So just send an e-mail to omgianblog@slopsbox.com, open that mailbox up in slopsbox.com and you can see it there. Services like these are normally hard to find, as always, its due to maintaining it as well as user abuse. If you have a forum, you better be blocking such mail providers (:

BayImg, a great site for you to be uploading your images to, regardless of the content’s ‘explicit level’, it will not be removed. I do not need to explain what type of images these are now do I. Its a fine alternative to ImageShack or whatever image hosters your currently using.

BayWords, I do not use this however its a great online tool to help user(s) express their freedom of speech without censorship or denial. Its free and simple to use with thousands of articles already posted. I forgot to mention, but most of these are under http://forum.suprbay.org/, i’m just so glad TPB posted those links on their footer or I would had never knew some of them. I believe you already understand that the use of .ORG domains represents non-profit organisations.

ipredatorIn addition to all these we have the latest (http://final.ipredator.se/) iPREdator. If you haven’t notice how all these services are linking up to privacy, censorship, freedom of oppression, copyright, or whatever then your clearly not thinking hard enough.

IPREDator is a network service that makes people online more anonymous using a VPN. it costs 5 EUR a month and we store no traffic data.
our service has become very popular and we’re therefor cautious to not make it slow.
that’s why we add capacity all the time and invite people when we have capacity for them.
the network is under our control. not theirs. the pirate bay likes and knows real kopimism. and waffles.

Hopefully I did not totally pwn everyone from this redundant (in a bad way) blog post. But its great if you have surplus of time and need a quick way to burn them (: (Hooray! for 1000+ words in this post).

Stay tune for more humans :D
P.S. Liked the featured article image for this post? Its from DeviantArt.com.

Also, I’m a jQuery freak just so you know (: so stop asking.

Iz All Abut Ze Pirates, Arh!

Happy Talk Like A Pirate Day!For those that were a little behind on the news, its Happy International ‘Talk Like A Pirate’ Day. Also, in other news, The Pirate Bay is in full support of OpenInternet.se, so all the best for them in keeping The Pirate Bay alive! So, before you continue reading, make a Tweet about it on Twitter or go to Facebook now and set your language preference to English (Pirate) BETA.

As you may have already known, this major online event and possibly ‘reality’ of ‘Talk Like A Pirate Day’ is the talk of the day. Its officially a Twitter trending topic and there’s even official sites for it. For those that wish to find out about the ‘Talk Like A Pirate Day’ origin, here is a small abstract from Wikipedia’s article, it seems that this year it has become a more international online movement than before.

International Talk Like a Pirate Day (ITLAPD) is a parodic holiday created in 1995 by John Baur (Ol’ Chumbucket) and Mark Summers (Cap’n Slappy), of Albany, Oregon,[1] who proclaimed September 19 each year as the day when everyone in the world should talk like a pirate.[1] For example, an observer of this holiday would greet friends not with “Hello,” but with “Ahoy, me hearty!” The holiday, and its observance, springs from a romanticized view of the Golden Age of Piracy. The holiday is a major observance in the parody religion of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
From Wikipedia – International Talk Like A Pirate Day

Yes, like the Wikipedia article says, its just a parodic holiday, and perhaps an international online meme. And as with events like these, it gives owners for MMOs, Online Services, etc a chance to setup promotions and offers to celebrate the occassion.

Several MMOs, such as World of Warcraft, Kingdom of Loathing, Lord of the Rings Online and Guild Wars have introduced special events for the day, permitting characters to receive special appearances or special in-game prizes or drops.[17]
From Wikipedia – International Talk Like A Pirate Day

Personally, I would be setting up a few hosting packages for this, but seeing as I have already put one out for the September Promotion, I don’t think thats necessary. Well, why is it so popular? and a global phenomenon?

Well, like most other things that have taken off in the last few years, it’s the Internet that’s fueled it. Although it hasn’t amassed the 126 million times the “Evolution of Dance” video has been watched, there are more than 1,500 “Talk Like a Pirate” videos on YouTube, and more than 12 million websites dedicated in some way to the holiday.
Read More About It Here.

OpenInternet.seIn other news, the Pirate Bay has a new facelift on the homepage with OpenInternet’s logo, and if you have the time, be sure to check out their website as they have put up a few FAQs, especially relevant to online crime (cybercrime). As far as I’m concern, the whole rumour of Pirate Bay being a paid service or having some form of payment is not true, it remains a public tracker and is still accessible for many. Their recent blog article talks about the ’support to stop people like Monique Wasted and Peter Dworsky from abusing and harassing ISP:s and small business owners, costing them hundreds of thousands in legal costs’ too, so long live OpenInternet.se and The Pirate Bay! It currently has over 280+ comments.

It’s about time we, the people of the world, joined together to fight for what’s right…real freedom from the corporations that want to control everything in our lives. For too long we have taken the abuse of our freedoms lying down. No more!! Thank you Pirate Bay for opening all of our eyes to the way things should be and helping us all realize the potential we have to stop the abuse when we all band together.

The Black Internet case was just the first step to eradicate the Pirate Bay, but it has not stop it and lets hope they’ll continue (: For the moment, there isn’t much news about the Pirate Bay being bought over, as far as I can see, the buyer is facing a few setbacks, primarily due to the fact they can’t actually afford it! See Here.

Remember to check out Aerosol Studios affiliate sites including Aerosol Hostings and our future Frozone Networks now known as Aerosol Networks. I’ll be online all day, so remember to leave me a Twitter reply @MrSaints. Happy ‘Talk Like A Pirate Day’ and long live The Pirate Bay.

Please also welcome our new bloggers Flipps and Yui as well as Theodore (whom is quiet at the moment), hopefully they will spend some time to introduce themselves too! Welcome aboard guys!
Tagging FTW! And credits to the success of this article and any in the future to all the links specified above (See Here  bits).

F*CK.

Sorry the improper use of language as my post title, but I have never been so annoyed in my life. If you have been reading my AerosolHostings twitter lately you would had realize that my team and myself were performing a postphoned maintenance for the server, all happy and problemless. But this was ONLY a few days after the server was setup by our hosters. After it went down, I was figuring what went wrong only to be mailed by them about an issue…

I think this is pretty self-explanatory:
http://aerosolhost.pastebin.com/ (DELETED ALREADY)

Also, check Twitter.com/AerosolHostings.

I’m really glad at times like these I made a backup, only sad to know it was 2 days back, but anyhow, I have my own personal backup which was around 4 hours back before the incident occured. Coincidently it was before the maintenance in which I urged users to make backups (which they hopefully listened to and did). Anyhow, I will continue updating this and perhaps fuck them over for this bullsh*t.

Thanks Gerald and Yui for keeping me cool :) I decided to blog about it, perhaps it would make me better?
P.S. I watched Jack Neo’s comedy ghost movie today (: Its f*ck hilarious, so watch it! (there’s English subtitles PG13).

The Pirate Bay RAIDED.

EDIT/UPDATE: The site is now officially back up after a relocation on the same day to a different host; it was inaccessible due to a minor technical issue. TPB is retaliating, and will even come up with their own campaign:

The t-shirt on the frontpage is actually being made right now. It will be sent to the enemy frontline.

We also suggest that someone raise a fund for Black Internet so that they can decide to fight the decision from Stockholms tingsfel. Talk to them and do something about it.

Original Extract: http://thepiratebay.org/blog

——————————————————————————————————-

Its official, The Pirate Bay, home to the ultimate BitTorrent indexer/listing has been taken down by the Swedish Authorities. Their ISP/Bandwidth Supplier (Black Internet) were threatened up to 500,000 kroner ($70,600), they were given no choice but to comply with the court’s decision to uphold the law.

Following the defeat of Fredrik, Gottfrid and Peter, The Pirate Bay still remained as of until today. The Pirate Bay is still in the process of various charges and a civil case brought up by large media corporations including Disney, Universal, Warner, Columbia, Sony, NBC and Paramount.

According to sources, it has been reported that TPB has switched host, however with the current host facing hefty fines if they do not disconnect the site, I doubt any other host providers wouldn’t do the same, and as of now, the site is still inaccessible for me and many others

Meanwhile, there has been a clone of TPB put up by a user at BTarena.net.
But, please be careful of fake/clone sites such as http://www.piratebay.com, that requires user to pay.

RE-POST: A todo list it will be!

Sorry, this is a repost as I didn’t backup the latest database containing the newer posts like this.
Haha, =P Proceed. And well, as you can see, during the downtime, I have manage to establish most of the things that needed my attention, and finished them!

Well since I did tweet just now that I need a todo list.
Why not blog about it too? So yea, exams over so I don’t think I need to include that besides the exams I still have.
Hmm… I guess I should put them in order of importance and priority.

  1. Biology Revision! and Add Maths.
I got biology 3 coming up the week after the holidays :D
  2. Go out with friends.
I think this is a priority! Ditching is a priority too!
  3. Start working on the blog’s new layout again!
I might reconsider doing a new one… there’s a preview of the work in progress version at this blog!
  4. Work on coding some unfinished developments or thinking about new ones
e.g. FrozoneCMS, Erebus, Kyle’s AlcoveMS CMS?
  5. Finish reading all those magazines I bought! :D
    lol…Loads of interesting articles too!
  6. Work on advertising my hosting and doing a little bit more marketing.
With Bear Marketing! Adsense… Perhaps doing some affiliating.
  7. Continue downloading more apps on my ‘Must Download’ list.
This include the X-Plane edition, and perhaps racing games? I’m lacking racing games :D
  8. Blog about less redundant things :)
Perhaps I should start talking about more webdev stuff instead of this crap.
  9. Finish watching all the DVDs we bought everything we went to Summit USJ in Subang.
Lol we just watched ‘Hotel For Dogs’ last night. Interesting film…
  10. Find more music to add onto my iPod playlist.
Only 608 songs now… So little!
  11. Start playing CS:S or DoTa again!
Lol, my social life is gonna’ tumble if I continuosly spend time alone!

  12. Mantain my hosting and make sure everything is running smoothly.
Perhaps answer a few support ticket and check the hosting mailbox. Or maybe I should just forward all the e-mails to my main one to make checking easier?
  13. Get more FOLLOWERS in Twitter.
No one is going to hear me if I don’t get more followers! Funny how Twitter turned into a network for advertising. Half the tweets i’m seeing now a days are… lol not related to “What Am I Doing”.
  14. Refresh myself so I won’t forget about programming.
Like ASP, C++, Java… I might forget them if they are in practice for a while.
  15. Reformat to Windows 7 again.
I missed it :) After all the new RC one was good! Right now i’ m double booting.

I guess thats all for this list… For now… Perhaps I should add more, but only if I think about it.
Can’t think of anything else for now, but oh well!

I will cross them out as I go along.
Like THIS! Hahahaha… Okay, I gotta’ go now :) See ya guys!
